A consultative meeting regarding the prospects and opportunities of rooftop solar power systems was held with members of various government offices and local organizations in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali. The meeting took place on Monday afternoon at the Upazila Parishad Durbar Hall, jointly organized by volunteer organizations Protibesh O Unnayan Forum, Prantojon, and Clean.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Arifuzzaman addressed the gathering alongside Kalapara Palli Bidyut Samity Deputy General Manager Sheikh Abdur Rahman, Kalapara Press Club President Nesar Uddin Ahmed Tipu, and representatives of various local organizations.
Speakers highlighted the vast potential of installing rooftop solar power systems across residential buildings and government establishments. They urged citizens to reduce dependency on fossil fuel-based electricity and embrace solar power installations as an efficient, sustainable alternative.
