Allegations have surfaced that a youth named Saiful Islam was severely beaten over a family dispute in Debottar union under Atghoria upazila of Pabna. In a critical condition, he was initially rushed to the Atghoria Upazila Health Complex and later admitted to Pabna General Hospital for advanced medical treatment.
According to the complaint, Saiful Islam, son of Rajai Pramanik from Debottar union of Atghoria upazila, married the daughter of Mohammad Sol from Komorshar village in Chandva union approximately three years ago. Since the marriage, frequent domestic discord occurred due to marital incompatibility between the couple.
The victim's family alleged that following a dispute, the wife left her in-laws' house around 11:00 PM without informing anyone and returned to her father's home. Saiful's family further accused her of taking approximately Tk 1.20 lakh in cash and gold ornaments from the house during her departure.
Subsequently, when Saiful Islam went to the field to cut grass, Mozam Pramanik, Ashraful Pramanik, Amirul Pramanik, and Siam—sons of Arman Pramanik from the same area—along with several others, launched an attack on him and severely beat him up.

After providing primary treatment, the attending physician referred him to Pabna General Hospital for advanced care, where he is currently undergoing treatment. His family reported that injury marks are visible on various parts of his body.
In connection with this incident, Saiful Islam's family has demanded a proper investigation into the attack and legal action against those involved. When journalists visited the residences of the accused individuals to obtain their statements regarding the allegations, they reportedly declined to comment. Consequently, their statements could not be included.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway by the victim's family to file a lawsuit in court. The aggrieved family has demanded a proper investigation to uncover the truth and ensure necessary legal action according to the law.
