A young man named Shamir Islam (20) died of electrocution while working at the South Kaibartapara Sarbojanin Durgoutsav Mandap in Monmathpur union of Parbatipur upazila, Dinajpur, on Saturday afternoon (October 10, 2026).

Locals rescued him in a critical condition and rushed him to the local Lamp Hospital, where he passed away at 3:00 PM while undergoing treatment. His tragic death has cast a shadow of grief over the local community.
