Two Drug Abusers Arrested in Special Police Drive in Chandanaish
The arrested individuals following the police drive in Chandanaish.

In a special operation by Chandanaish Police Station, two individuals sentenced by a mobile court have been arrested in Chattogram.

Under the direction of Chattogram District Superintendent of Police Md. Masud Alam (BPM) and led by Chandanaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) S.M. Didarul Islam Sikder, the drive was conducted from 10:00 PM on Monday to 8:30 AM on Tuesday.

The arrestees have been identified as Pronob Das (20), son of Subhash Das from Jafrabad Jaldas Para, and Antar Jaldas (20), son of Montu Jaldas from Ward No. 4 of Biltali.

According to the police, both arrestees were sentenced under Mobile Court Case Nos. 164/26 and 165/26 pursuant to Section 36(5) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018. The mobile court imposed a fine of BDT 100 and a 5-day simple imprisonment sentence on each of them.

The mobile court was conducted by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jhantu Bikash Chakma.

Chandanaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) S.M. Didarul Islam Sikder confirmed that necessary legal proceedings have been completed, and the arrested individuals were presented before the honorable court under proper police escort.
