The Rangpur Zila Parishad has allocated 1.09 crore Taka for four social and educational institutional development projects in Pirganj, Rangpur. These allocations were approved from the development assistance sector of the Zila Parishad. The information was disclosed by the Rangpur Zila Parishad on Monday.

The allocations include 1 crore Taka for the construction of the Shaheed Abu Sayed Foundation office, beautification, and overall development of his mausoleum; 5 lakh Taka for procuring bicycles to ease commuting for female students of Pirganj Mohila Degree College; 2 lakh Taka for installing a solar power (solar panel) system at Pirganj Adarsha Girls' High School; and 2 lakh Taka for the infrastructural development of Pirganj Koshimon Nesa Secondary Girls' School.

Related sources further mentioned that these projects have been undertaken to develop social and educational institutions and to enhance facilities for students in the upazila. It was stated that these development grants are being implemented through the initiative and guidance of State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Mir Shahe Alam, and Rangpur Zila Parishad Administrator and District BNP Convener Saiful Islam.
