World Teachers' Day Observed in Dhobaura

World Teachers' Day has been observed in Dhobaura, Mymensingh, with the theme "Stand by Teachers, Protect Profession, Enhance Dignity, and Shape Our Future 60 Years". On the occasion of the day, a colorful rally was brought out from the upazila parishad premises on Monday morning (October 5).

The rally started from the upazila parishad premises at 11:00 AM, paraded through various roads of the upazila, and concluded back at the upazila parishad premises. Teachers from various educational institutions of the upazila participated in it. Later, a discussion meeting on World Teachers' Day was held at the upazila parishad premises.

Upazila Academic Supervisor Md. Nurul Amin, Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Ruhul Amin, Principal of Government Technical School and College Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan, General Secretary of Secondary Teachers' Association Moslem Uddin Sarkar Masud, General Secretary of Primary Teachers' Association Mostafizur Rahman, along with teachers from various educational institutions of the upazila, were present at the discussion meeting.

Speakers at the meeting said that the role of teachers is immense in building the future of a nation. Teachers not only teach in the classroom, but they also play an important role in developing students' morality, values, and human qualities. The contribution of teachers is undeniable in building a knowledge-based and humane society.

The speakers emphasized ensuring the social dignity and respect of teachers, as well as enhancing their professional skills and expanding their facilities. At the same time, they called upon teachers, guardians, and concerned individuals to work in a coordinated manner to improve the quality of education and build students with proper education. The speakers further stated that if teachers are given proper respect and dignity, they will be able to perform their duty of nation-building with even more enthusiasm and dedication.
