Actress Nazia Haque Orsha Captivates Fans as 'Mountain Durga' in Stunning Bandarban Photoshoot
Nazia Haque Orsha embodying the strength and grace of Goddess Durga in the hills of Bandarban.

While festive celebrity photo shoots flood social media during Sharadiya Durga Puja, acclaimed actress Nazia Haque Orsha has captured widespread attention with a uniquely powerful and artistic portrayal of Goddess Durga set against the scenic backdrop of Bandarban.

Titled "Women's Power and Durga in the Hills", the special photo shoot was conceptualized and captured by Md. Nazmul Hossain of "Mr. Momentwala", with sponsorship support from Satkahon. Dressed in a traditional red sari, conch-shell bangles (shakha-pala), and a ceremonial topor, Orsha's imagery breaks convention by incorporating indigenous elements of hill life—posing with a thhrung (traditional hill basket), interacting warmly with local mountain residents, and fiercely wielding a trident (trishul) as a symbol of female strength and resistance.

The evocative portraits have drawn high praise from netizens and prominent figures in Bangladesh's entertainment industry. Acclaimed actor Chanchal Chowdhury commented "Darun" (Wonderful), director Chayanika Chowdhury called it "Veeshon Sundor" (Extremely Beautiful), and actresses Sushama Sarkar and Shahnaz Khushi expressed deep appreciation. The release coincides with Maha Saptami on Sunday (October 18, 2026), as the nation observes the peak days of Durga Puja leading up to Bijaya Dashami on Wednesday.
