Popular television actress Niti Taylor has opened up about a traumatic casting couch experience with a film director early in her career, revealing that the incident led her to quit the feature film industry entirely after appearing in three Telugu films.
Speaking on a recent episode of the media show Hauterrfly, Taylor shared that after finishing her third Telugu film, the director called her offering another project under the explicit condition that she spend the night with him. Shocked by the proposition, Taylor immediately ended the call, blocked his number, and informed her mother about the incident. She noted that while she had seen the director behave inappropriately with other women on set, she never expected to be targeted herself. The encounter caused her to make a firm decision never to work in feature films again.
Taylor, who began her acting career on Hindi television at the age of 15 with Pyaar Ka Bandhan, achieved widespread fame with the hit 2014 youth drama Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan. She went on to build a successful television career, starring in hit series including Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, and recently competed as a semi-finalist on the reality show Alliance.
