West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's faction has been officially assigned a new identity following recent political realignments. The faction led by Mamata Banerjee is now named "Mamata All India Trinamool Congress" with the "Footballer" (football player) designated as its electoral symbol.

Meanwhile, a splinter faction led by Rytabrata Banerjee has been named "Democratic Trinamool Congress" with the "Envelope" symbol. Senior party leaders have expressed mixed reactions regarding the administrative directives, while the ongoing political and symbol disputes continue to draw significant attention across political circles in West Bengal.
