Riyadh Airport Hit by Second Houthi Missile Strike in Two Days; 1 Killed and 11 Injured as Houthi Forces Threaten All Saudi Airspace
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, hit by a second consecutive Houthi missile strike on Sunday that killed a Pakistani resident and injured 11 others.

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels launched a second consecutive missile attack against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Sunday (October 11, 2026), killing a Pakistani national and injuring 11 others, according to official Saudi aviation and military sources.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia confirmed via social media that the Sunday missile hit a passenger terminal area, triggering a localized fire and causing casualties. This follows Saturday's devastating assault on the same airport, which left 13 dead—including two Bangladeshi citizens—and over 300 injured across multiple nationalities.

Houthi military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree claimed responsibility for the escalatory strikes, warning that all Saudi airports and airspace except those in Makkah and Madinah are now military targets, while also claiming strikes on Dammam airport and Saudi Aramco facilities. In response, Saudi-led Coalition Spokesperson Major General Turki al-Malki denounced the strikes on civilian infrastructure as war crimes and vowed a stern military response. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated that Washington is considering swift military action against the Houthis, as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi signaled Iran's willingness to facilitate dialogue to halt further regional escalation.
