The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) of Police conducted a raid on Monday night at a rented house in the 300-feet area of Dhaka, owned by Additional DIG Abdullah Al Zahir of the Repair and Maintenance Branch of Police Headquarters.
During the operation, police recovered various drugs, including Ice, Shisha, Yaba, liquor, Ganja, and Kush, along with evidence of illegal DJ parties and antisocial activities. A total of 84 people, including 26 women and a manager named Mahbub, were detained, and several vehicles were seized.
DB Additional Commissioner Shফিকুল Islam confirmed the matter to Samakal on Tuesday afternoon, stating that the house had been listed on Airbnb and used for unauthorized parties. The property owner, Additional DIG Abdullah Al Zahir, stated that the house had been rented out for a birthday party on Monday and that the renters violated the established rules, claiming no personal involvement in the illicit activities.
