Prime Minister Tarique Rahman digitally distributed Tk 12 crore in government incentives to 38,970 sugarcane farmers across the Rajshahi region on Tuesday afternoon (October 20, 2026). Speaking at a massive public rally held at the Haji Muhammad Mohsin Government High School ground, he transferred the funds directly to the farmers' mobile accounts with the click of a button and handed over financial cheques to 15 growers.

The rally, presided over by BNP Acting Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, was attended by a large gathering of party leaders, activists, and members of the Hindu community. Cabinet ministers, advisors, and local lawmakers—including Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Nitai Roy Chowdhury, and Khandaker Abdul Muktadir—were present alongside thousands of supporters.
