The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds in parts of Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions over the next 24 hours. Both day and night temperatures across the country are expected to decline slightly during this period.
According to the bulletin issued on Wednesday (October 14, 2026) by Assistant Meteorologist Afroza Sultana, temporary rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions through 9:00 AM Thursday. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy skies with mainly dry weather. Similar weather patterns will persist through Friday (October 16), before rain activity gradually decreases across all divisions starting Sunday (October 18).
Daytime temperatures are projected to increase slightly from Saturday (October 17), while nighttime temperatures remain mostly unchanged. BMD noted that overall rainfall activity across Bangladesh is expected to significantly subside after the next five days.
