High Commissioner of Brunei to Bangladesh Haji Haris bin Haji Osman paid a courtesy call on Mohammad Rashedul Hoque, Managing Director of Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL), to discuss bilateral labor mobility and employment expansion.

The bilateral meeting took place at the BOESL headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday (October 6, 2026). Discussions centered on expanding job opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in Brunei, deploying certified skilled manpower, and ensuring a safe, orderly, and transparent labor recruitment framework. Both officials emphasized that boosting structured labor migration will significantly reinforce the longstanding friendly diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and Brunei while fostering economic cooperation across both labor markets.
