Chandanaish Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Abdur Rahman conducted a sudden inspection of various orphanages and hifz khanas within the Chandanaish municipality on Tuesday night (October 6, 2026). During the visit, he inspected student dormitories, food quality, drinking water supply, cleanliness, and registers.
Following the inspection, a poignant status posted from the official upazila administration Facebook page—noting concerns over students' living conditions, health, and signs of corporal punishment—went viral on social media. UNO Abdur Rahman distributed children's food as gifts during the visit and stressed that strict administrative action will be taken against any irregularities to ensure a safe, healthy environment for children.
