Department of Youth Development Recruitment Exam Suspended Amid Allegations of Question Paper Leak; Job Seekers Protest in Dhaka
Job seekers staging a protest on Dhaka streets on Saturday morning after the Department of Youth Development recruitment exam was suspended over question paper leak allegations.

The recruitment examination for the position of Assistant Upazila Youth Development Officer (11th Grade) under the Department of Youth Development was abruptly suspended on Saturday morning following widespread allegations that the question paper had leaked on social media hours before the test.

The exam, scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM across approximately 100 centers in Dhaka for over 300,000 candidates vying for 242 vacant posts, was cancelled at the last minute, triggering immediate and widespread protests. Enraged job seekers who had traveled from various districts across Bangladesh gathered in front of prominent testing venues—including Motijheel Government Girls' High School, Colony High School, Government Colony Boys' High School, and Dhaka Commerce College—blocking major thoroughfares. Demonstrators voiced intense frustration over financial losses, physical exhaustion from overnight travel, and systemic exam corruption, demanding a neutral investigation and strict punishment for the syndicate responsible.
