
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has conducted a mobile court drive at Mirpur-10 Metro Rail Station, evicting illegal floating shops set up on the ground floor and seizing vendor equipment to maintain unobstructed access for passengers.
The drive was conducted on Wednesday (October 7, 2026) from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM under the leadership of DMTCL Executive Magistrate Md. Ahsan Ullah Sharifee. During the operation, authorities issued strict warnings to hawkers against setting up illegal stalls in and around the metro station vicinity, reiterating zero tolerance for repeat violations. Officers from Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), MRT Police, and DMTCL personnel assisted in executing the clearance drive. DMTCL officials confirmed that similar enforcement operations will continue across all metro stations to keep entry and exit pathways fully clear, hygienic, and accessible for everyday commuters.
