The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested two youths and recovered 8,400 Yaba pills during a targeted drive in the Tejgaon Industrial Area of the capital on Saturday (October 10, 2026).
The arrested individuals have been identified as Miton Chakma (24) and Lato Chakma (24). Acted on intelligence under the direction of DNC Director General Md. Hasan Maruf and led by DNC Dhaka Metro (North) Deputy Director Md. Rajiur Rahman, a raiding team from the Dhanmondi Circle conducted the operation on the footpath in front of the Nabisco Biscuit & Bread Factory Ltd.

DNC Inspector Abdullah Al Mamun filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act at the Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station.
