Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan personally drove through Mirpur-10 during a late-night inspection on Monday (October 5, 2026) to assess urban sanitation, post-eviction conditions, anti-dengue drives, and infrastructure maintenance.
During the midnight drive, Administrator Khan inspected the areas recently cleared of street hawkers and ordered official teams to immediately sever all illegal electricity connections previously used by unauthorized vendors. He evaluated tree plantation initiatives launched following the eviction drive and reviewed ongoing ward-level cleanliness programs, drainage repairs, and projector dustbin installations designed to eliminate public suffering. Inspecting the metro rail corridor between Mirpur-10 and Shewrapara, Administrator Khan surveyed the removal of illegal posters and leaflets from metro pillars and wall spaces, providing operational guidelines for upcoming city-sponsored graffiti art projects aimed at beautifying the urban transit route. Emphasizing civic discipline, the DNCC chief directed ward officials and law enforcement to maintain regular monitoring to prevent the re-encroachment of footpaths and ensure Mirpur-10 remains clean, green, and orderly.
