Members of the Fire Service successfully rescued a farmer who got trapped in an unconscious state high up on a 35 to 40-foot coconut tree after suffering an electric shock while cleaning the tree. The incident took place on Tuesday morning (September 29, 2026) in the Guababaria area of Ward No. 9 under Pirojpur Municipality.
Upon receiving the report through the national emergency service 999, a team from the Pirojpur Fire Station swiftly rushed to the scene. Led by Station Inspector Shoeb, fire service members including firefighters Md. Rashel Sheikh and Nazmul skillfully brought the farmer down from the tree using ropes.
Following the rescue, he was safely handed over to his relatives and the Pirojpur Sadar Thana police personnel present at the scene.
