Speaking during a courtesy call with the European Union (EU) Ambassador and Head of Delegation to Bangladesh, Michael Miller, at the ministry, Minister Choudhury reiterated the administration's commitment to facilitating legal migration while enforcing zero tolerance against illicit trafficking networks. He highlighted regular mobile court operations against violators and announced plans for an upcoming roundtable with stakeholders, agencies, and media to raise awareness. Ambassador Miller expressed the EU's keen interest in ethical migration, reducing recruitment costs, and expanding the 'Talent Partnership' initiative to enable legal labor mobility for Bangladeshi workers to Europe. Miller also emphasized continued EU support through the European Training Foundation and reintegration programs like the World Bank-funded 'RAISE' project, while stressing alignment in labor laws, trade union freedoms, and child labor elimination.
