The government has appointed new Superintendents of Police (SP) in Bagerhat and Chuadanga districts as part of a reshuffle in police administration.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday (September 21), Md. Jamirul Islam, SP at the Police Headquarters, has been appointed as the SP of Bagerhat. Additionally, Special Branch (SB) SP Mehedi Shahriar has been posted as the SP of Chuadanga.
The order, signed by Deputy Secretary Tausif Ahmed on September 20, also transferred outgoing Bagerhat SP Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabdar and Chuadanga SP Mohammad Ruhul Kabir Khan to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The ministry confirmed that the order takes effect immediately in the public interest.
