Government Releases Identities of Two Bangladeshi Expatriates Killed in Houthi Missile Attack on Riyadh Airport
The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment in Dhaka, which officially confirmed the details and home addresses of the two Bangladeshi workers killed in the Riyadh airport attack.

The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment has officially disclosed the identities of the two Bangladeshi citizens who lost their lives in the Houthi missile strike targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In an official bulletin issued on Sunday (October 11, 2026), the ministry confirmed that a Houthi ballistic missile struck Terminal-3 of King Khalid International Airport at approximately 3:20 PM on Saturday while numerous international transit passengers were awaiting flights. The deceased Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Md. Shahed Ahmed, son of Md.

Rafiqul Islam and Mst. Shahera Begum, hailing from Madla village (Madla Post Office) under Shahjahanpur Upazila in Bogura district; and Md. Nasrullah Badarpuri, son of Maulana Mohammad Ullah and Jahanara Begum, hailing from Badarpur village (Dhalua Post Office) under Nangalkot Upazila in Cumilla district. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare confirmed that the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh is maintaining active coordination with local Saudi health authorities and airport officials to facilitate the swift treatment of four injured Bangladeshis in local ICUs and process the full government-sponsored repatriation of the deceased workers' mortal remains back home.
