
Chittagong has recorded one more death and 96 new hospitalizations due to dengue over the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll in the district to 24 and total infections to 5,455 for the current year.
According to the dengue report released by the Chittagong Civil Surgeon's Office on Sunday (October 11), out of the newly admitted patients, 76 are receiving treatment in government hospitals—including 34 at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, 8 at BITID, 10 at the General Hospital, 10 at CMH, and 14 across upazila health complexes—while 20 are admitted in private hospitals and clinics.
Since January 1, a total of 4,455 patients have received care in government facilities and 1,000 in private ones, with 5,197 patients having recovered and been discharged so far.
