Late bdnews24.com Editor-in-Chief Toufique Imrose Khalidi, whose final rites will be observed in Dhaka on Saturday following his passing in London.

The Namaz-e-Janaza of late bdnews24.com Editor-in-Chief Toufique Imrose Khalidi will be held tomorrow, Saturday (October 10, 2026), at the Old DOHS Playground in Banani, followed by his burial at the Martyred Intellectuals Graveyard in Mirpur.

His mortal remains are scheduled to arrive in Dhaka from London on Saturday morning. After being taken home briefly for family members and relatives to pay their final respects, the body will be placed at the Banani Old DOHS Playground between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to allow colleagues, journalists, and well-wishers to pay their last tributes.

The Janaza will take place at 3:00 PM at the same ground, with interment following at 5:00 PM in Mirpur. Earlier on October 8, a Janaza was held at Brick Lane Mosque in East London, where his son and Bangladesh News 24 Hours Ltd. Director Raad Sharar Khalidi spoke on his father's unwavering commitment to honest, fearless, and independent journalism. Khalidi passed away on October 2 at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London at the age of 58 after suffering a sudden brain hemorrhage on October 1.
