The Parliament Secretariat of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad has officially declared Parliamentary Seat 323 (Reserved Women's Seat-23) vacant following the resignation of Member of Parliament Ferdousi Ahmed.

According to an official gazette notification issued on Thursday (October 1, 2026) by Law Making Branch-2 under the Legislative Support Wing of the Parliament Secretariat, MP Ferdousi Ahmed formally tendered her resignation earlier in the day. Signed by Parliament Secretariat Secretary Barrister Md. Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, the notification specifies that Seat 323 (Reserved Women's Seat-23) stands vacant pursuant to Article 67(2) of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The Parliament Secretariat has formally communicated the vacancy notice to the Senior Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat, requesting the commission to initiate necessary statutory procedures to conduct elections for the vacant reserved seat.
