Prime Minister Tariq Rahman declared that the working class and general public will unite to give a fitting response to conspirators attacking factories and inciting industrial unrest, just as they did during the mass uprising of August 2024. Addressing a roadside rally on Thursday afternoon, November 5, 2026, at the Katakhali intersection on the Khulna-Mongla Highway while en route to visit the shrine of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (R.A.) in Bagerhat, the Prime Minister cautioned that damaging factories destroys the livelihoods of workers and the futures of their children.
Accusing defeated political elements ousted on August 5, 2024, of "pulling strings from across the border" to disrupt Bangladesh's economic momentum, PM Rahman affirmed that the elected government is working around the clock to create employment. Reassuring garment and industrial workers regarding wage negotiations, he announced that the newly constituted Minimum Wage Board has already begun functioning and will determine a new minimum wage within the next 1 to 2 months to ensure better living standards.
