Public Administration Adviser to the Prime Minister and BNP Standing Committee Member Md. Ismail Zabiullah has emphasized the need to enhance mutual trust, communication, and economic collaboration to elevate Bangladesh-China strategic relations to new heights.

Speaking at a pre-departure reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday (October 8, 2026) for an official delegation from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Ismail Zabiullah stated that continuous visits and high-level engagements between both nations will strengthen diplomatic bonds while opening fresh avenues for trade, technology transfer, and infrastructure development. Addressing the delegates, he urged them to study China's economic transformation, long-term planning, and administrative frameworks. He noted that the foundation of modern Bangladesh-China friendship was laid during the tenure of late President Ziaur Rahman and has evolved into a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Expressing optimism under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Zabiullah called for implementing an e-visa system for Bangladeshi citizens, establishing arbitration support for entrepreneurs, and accelerating human resource development to deliver direct economic benefits to both nations.
