Dhaka Metropolitan Police apprehend six members of banned political affiliates following a raid in Adabor, Dhaka.

Adabor Police under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested six members of outlawed Awami League affiliate organizations during a raid on a residential house in Dhaka’s Adabor area on Tuesday night (September 29, 2026).

The arrested individuals have been identified as Md. Rakib Mahmud (20), Abdu Rahman alias Arpon (22), Md. Mishkat Alam Bhuiyan (26), Md. Rahman Shuvo (19), Saikat Hossain Samrat (22), and Md. Bijoy (20). According to DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Md. Akhtar Hossain, police acted on intelligence received at 9:35 PM indicating that activists from banned organizations—including Bangladesh Chhatra League, Jubo League, and Swechhasebak League—had assembled at a house on Road 16 in Adabor. Authorities reported that the group was planning anti-state offenses, terrorist activities, and acts aimed at destabilizing state infrastructure. Adabor police executed the raid at 10:05 PM, apprehending all six suspects from the premises, and a regular case has been registered against them at Adabor Police Station.
