JM Sen Hall in Chattogram, set to host Prime Minister Tarique Rahman during Tuesday's Durga Puja inspection tour.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Chattogram on Tuesday (October 20, 2026) to inspect Sharadiya Durga Puja celebrations, exchange festive greetings with members of the Hindu community, and chair a key party organizational meeting.

Confirming the itinerary, BNP Central Organising Secretary and Chattogram District Council Administrator Mahbuber Rahman Shamim stated that the Prime Minister will arrive in the port city via a military aircraft. From Shah Amanat International Airport, PM Tarique Rahman will proceed directly to the city’s central Durga Puja pavilion at JM Sen Hall in Rahmatganj around 6:00 PM. During his 40-minute stay at the pavilion, the premier will deliver festive greetings and distribute financial grants to community leaders.

Following the Puja venue inspection, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will head to Hotel Radisson Blu in Chattogram to lead an organizational meeting with leaders of Chattogram City, North District, and South District BNP units. Chattogram City BNP Member Secretary Nazimur Rahman noted that attendee lists are being finalized with a controlled delegation size compared to the previous August 9 organizational session to ensure focused discussions on grassroots activities and regional governance.
