The Ministry of Public Administration has officially published the final recruitment gazette for the 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, appointing a total of 1,702 candidates to various civil service cadres.

According to the official notification issued on Wednesday night (October 14, 2026), all newly appointed officers have been instructed to report to their designated offices under their respective cadre-controlling ministries or divisions by November 1, 2026. The appointments follow the recommendations submitted by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on December 14, 2025, based on the results of the 45th BCS Examination 2022. The recruits will draw salaries under Grade-9 of the National Pay Scale 2026, in the pay scale band of Tk 44,000 to Tk 1,05,900.

The 45th BCS recruitment drive originally commenced in November 2022 with the publication of the official circular. Preliminary examinations were conducted in May 2023, followed by written examinations in January 2024 and viva-voce tests from July 8, 2025. On November 26, 2025, the PSC published its final recommendations for 1,807 candidates. Following a security verification and clearance window spanning over 10 months, the final gazette has now cleared 1,702 appointees. Cadre-wise, the Health Cadre received the highest allocation with 539 appointees (Assistant Surgeons and Dental Surgeons), followed by the Education Cadre (437), Administration Cadre (274), Police Cadre (80), and Customs Cadre (54).
