Registration for the international "Fire Marathon-102" officially opened at 12:00 PM on Monday (October 5, 2026), organized by Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence to raise nationwide awareness for its emergency helpline "102".

Operating under the theme "Run & Raise for Humanity, Recall 102," the AIMS-certified marathon is scheduled to take place on November 28, 2026, along the 300-Feet Expressway in front of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Multipurpose Training Ground in Purbachal, Narayanganj. The race will feature four distinct categories for a maximum capacity of 5,102 participants: 21.1 km (half marathon, registration fee BDT 902), 10 km (BDT 802), 5 km (BDT 702), and a 1.02 km fun run for children (BDT 502). Interested runners can complete their enrollment online via the official website, firemarathon102.org. Speaking on the objective of the event, Fire Service Director (Operations and Maintenance) Lt. Col. Md. Mahmudul Hasan stated that public unfamiliarity with the 102 helpline often leads to delayed fire reports; promoting the number will significantly shorten emergency response times, minimize casualties and property damage, and foster strong civic engagement.
