Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stated that certain political parties are attempting to exploit unforeseen incidents to instigate instability and chaos across the country. He pledged that the BNP will deploy its full efforts to establish the rule of law, ensuring equal justice for all citizens.

The Prime Minister made these remarks as the chief guest following the inauguration of the Tk 1,542 crore Muhuri-Kahua Irrigation, Drainage, and Flood Control Rehabilitation Project (Phase 1) at Ghatghar in Parshuram, Feni, on Thursday afternoon (October 1).

In his address, Tarique Rahman cautioned the public against a "secret party" acting against national interests and reminded citizens of its controversial historical role in 1971. Highlighted development initiatives—including canal re-excavation, river dredging, farmer cards, and family cards—he emphasized that these programs aim to benefit over 450,000 local residents, bring 34,000 hectares under cultivation, and increase crop production by 100,000 metric tons.

He further highlighted government measures such as waiving agricultural loans up to Tk 10,000, reopening closed factories to boost employment, and expanding the Parshuram Upazila Hospital from 50 to 150 beds as part of a broader plan to build 150-bed hospitals in every upazila nationwide.
