Under the banner slogan "Adorn the country with trees, Bangladesh above all," tree saplings were distributed among students across various schools in Pirojpur municipality on Monday morning. Nearly 800 to 1,000 fruit and forest tree saplings were handed over to young students to encourage environmental conservation.
Organized by local ward-level Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its associate bodies, the initiative was spearheaded by former senior joint convener of District BNP, Sheikh Riaz Uddin Rana. The campaign officially launched from No. 91 Madhya Pirojpur Government Primary School.
School Headmaster Sultana Momtaz, District President of Sammilita Sanskritik Sangshad Sharif Muhidul Islam, Ward 7 BNP President Md. Rafiqul Islam, Ward 8 BNP Joint General Secretary Tarikul Islam, Organizational Secretary Jewel Howlader, and JASAS District Joint Convener Riaz Mahmud were present at the event. Organizers noted that the distribution aims to restore ecological balance and motivate students to participate actively in nationwide afforestation efforts.
