According to local sources, residents spotted the floating body in the canal water near a bridge in the Teker Poni area under Ward 1 of North Chhonhora Union and immediately alerted law enforcement. Officers from Patiya Police Station responded to the scene and retrieved the corpse. Police estimated the deceased to be between 35 and 40 years of age, though his identity could not be immediately established. Patiya Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ziaul Huq confirmed the recovery and stated that efforts are underway to identify the man. The body is being sent for an autopsy, and further investigation will proceed upon receiving the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
