A 27-year-old app designer and former Chittagong University student, Md. Sabbir Hossain, has developed 'Unseen Bangladesh,' an innovative AI-powered web application that allows travelers to generate personalized digital maps of Bangladesh's 64 districts and create automated trip itineraries.
Built over a two-week period using Claude Code and Hossain's design background, the web application enables users to select visited districts from all eight divisions, automatically calculating progress (e.g., 15/64) while providing interactive information on local history, famous cuisine, traditional products, and tourist spots linked directly to Google Maps. Available in both Bengali and English, the platform features five customization themes, image/name integration, and downloadable visual formats (PNG, JPG, PDF) for social media sharing. Additionally, the integrated AI trip planner formulates multi-district itineraries covering travel sequences, hotel recommendations, and budget estimates within minutes. Hossain stated that the platform will remain completely ad-free and subscription-free to ensure an optimal user experience, expressing hope to collaborate with the Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) to promote national tourism. BTB Director Abu Selim Mahmud-ul Hasan welcomed the initiative, noting the board's openness to onboarding young tech innovators and providing technical support.
