Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed his firm commitment to building a "Humane Bangladesh," calling upon children, parents, and citizens to extend kindness and protection toward nature and environmental ecosystems.

Addressing a gathering of youth and parents at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy in Dhaka on Tuesday (October 6, 2026), the Prime Minister emphasized that compassion must extend beyond human interactions to encompass trees, wildlife, and natural surroundings. He encouraged children to adopt environmental stewardship by nurturing trees, caring for domestic and wild animals, and maintaining clean public spaces. Prime Minister Rahman urged the younger generation to politely challenge adults who litter in public areas, pointing out that environmental degradation directly harms the health and future of millions of Bangladeshi children. He highlighted that children serve as the core foundational pillars of both individual families and the nation, stressing that providing proper opportunities for youth development will strengthen Bangladesh’s global standing. The event was attended by the Prime Minister's wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, Minister for Social Welfare Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain, and BNP Standing Committee Member Selima Rahman.
