A low-pressure system over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining area has intensified into a well-marked low-pressure system, prompting the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) to issue rain warnings and forecast a gradual nationwide drop in temperatures.
According to a weather bulletin issued on Saturday, October 31, 2026, by BMD Meteorologist Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik, the system is driving temporary gusty winds and rain or thundershowers across isolated places in all eight divisions—Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet. Day and night temperatures across the country are expected to decline slightly over the next 24 hours.
