A low-pressure area has formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue a distant warning signal number 3 for the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra.

According to a special weather bulletin from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, under the influence of the low pressure, deep convection is taking place over the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh. Squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, north-east Bay, and coastal regions.

All fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay and deep sea have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice. Coastal residents and maritime operators have been urged to stay updated on weather developments as squally winds and heavy rainfall may affect normal maritime activities.
