Mega Football Final Held in Char Chandrail with a Vision to Build a Drug-Free Society
Carrying forward the objective of building a drug-free society, the mega final match of the Char Chandrail Football Tournament Season-3 was held on Saturday (September 12) in Galachipa, Patuakhali. The thrilling final match took place at 4:00 PM on the playground of Char Chandrail Amzad Hossain Secondary School, featuring a showdown between Golakhali XI and Gazalia XI.
According to organizers, the football tournament was organized to encourage the youth toward sports and keep them away from drugs and various social crimes. Md. Naimul Islam Sardar, former convener of the municipal Swechchasebak Dal in Galachipa, inaugurated the final match, while Abu Dhabi expatriate Engineer Md. Azahar Uddin Khan attended as the chief guest.
Special guests present at the event included Md. Shahin Gazi, Headmaster of Char Chandrail Amzad Hossain Secondary School; Md. Arif Billah, President of Galachipa Upazila Chhatra Odhikar Parishad; Md. Mamun Khan, Member of Galachipa Upazila BNP; Md. Sohel Rana, President of Madhya Haridev Secondary School; Kabir Hossain of Patuakhali District Chhatra Odhikar Parishad; along with social workers Khan Mosharraf Hossain and Md. Khokon Khan, and other local dignitaries.
Organizers stated that the initiative aims not only to provide entertainment but also to bring the young generation back to the playing fields and build anti-drug social awareness. They urged everyone to step forward in shaping a healthy, drug-free society through sports.
