Multidimensional challenges of the interim government in restructuring the country
Humans are social beings. We all know that. All the success of the individual is based on the society. Human wholeness depends on recognition in society. But it is not a society if people live in groups. When every person thinks about the welfare of each other and extends a helping hand as much as possible and lives bound by the invisible bond of rules and order, that group of people is called society. Keeping this society alive and moving forward is one of the responsibility of the individual. Rich, poor, helpless people live in a society. Society with all educated and uneducated. Social service is to extend a helping hand to the backward people in the society. But how are the people next door? We don't even have time to ask such questions. Gradually we are becoming mechanical. It has a negative impact on the society. So it is important to change our thinking. The students and the masses have ousted the previous government in a coup d'état with the conviction of establishing good governance in the country. As a result, it is not unusual for them to accumulate anger if their demands or demands are not met. If a person cannot directly reach or see the relevant advisors in case of any problem or disaster, a kind of anger can also be spread in him. . But the problem that is often observed in our country is that the behavior and role of the government changes somewhat after coming to power. The same kind of behavior and violation of promises that are made to the people before they come to the government is happening in most of the cases.
This time, through the mass uprising of the students, the opportunity to change the overall system has been created for the first time in the country. This is basically the result of the students' movement. The kind of thoughts and expectations they have moved with, this achievement cannot be sustained if they cannot be reflected in the state system. For this reason, it is important to involve the organizers of the movement in the activities of the government. If such a system is introduced from the ministry to the local level, it is expected that the real picture of the various problems of the country will emerge and it will be possible to solve them. Governments have also changed in the past through mass coups. But that mass uprising was of a political party. This is the first time that students have staged a coup outside the political party. Although the political parties made important contributions in that coup, the leadership was in the hands of the students. Ordinary people were also in the front row with them. That is why the reality of this coup is different. Students wanted to see a change. The state wanted to reform. Now they have got that opportunity. In the previous system of government, there was no direct involvement of people with ministers-MPs or advisors. That is why the common people did not get any solution regarding many grievances. It will be a milestone, with mentors from among the students. Also, if students are kept as co-counselors, they can identify the problems of the people. Because they have grown up with these problems. As a result, various problems can be solved, which will be a positive example. But it will be very fair and relevant if the decision-making process is preceded by discussions with the stakeholders.
An interim government has been formed under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Yunus through the uprising of students. Since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, the students of the anti-discrimination student movement have been performing traffic duties on various roads due to the lack of police activity across the country. They are controlling the traffic on the road with sticks in their hands and whistles in their mouths. Not only that, the students are engaged in work like cleaning, returning looted items, monitoring the market, keeping watch at night. Some are writing slogans on the walls, drawing graffiti. Through these, they are commemorating the martyrs in the movement to eliminate discrimination in the society. While fulfilling this duty, they are moving forward with the oath to build Bangladesh free from violence, corruption and crime. He is also promising to protect the motherland. This government has to move forward with consideration of pros and cons and needs. It is also very important to equate the development of the country with the development of the common people. It is not possible for any government to implement hundred percent of the expectations of the public. Because there is no limit to people's wants or expectations. Due to this reason, it is not possible to meet the needs of a person in any way. As a result, an anti-government mentality started to develop in the minds of many common people. Almost everyone knows that ordinary people have to be harassed when they go to work in many government offices. For example, in case of a primary school teacher being transferred to another school for a vacant post, despite the ministry's order, it is difficult to get the transfer done properly until the district level officials are repeatedly harassed.
There are different types of official work in a country, which are a type of file work. The concerned officials have to support the timely completion of these file works. But as a result of such practice, the subordinates or personal assistants exchange financial favors without the knowledge of the senior government officials. It becomes difficult to establish proper governance in places where there are offices and courts at the grass root level across the country. Nepotism, lobbying trade opportunities are created,
