The 11-Party Alliance (11-Doliya Oikya) has announced its third phase long march covering nearly 400 kilometers from Dhaka to Kustia via Khulna on Saturday, October 31, 2026, to press home a 7-point charter of demands including the implementation of the referendum verdict, justice for the July genocide, and price control on fuel and essential commodities.
Announcing the decisions following an emergency liaison committee meeting in Dhaka on Monday (October 5, 2026), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar detailed the program schedule. Presided over by alliance coordinator and Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, the meeting finalized the long march route, street rallies, and logistical execution. Parwar explained that the date was rescheduled from October 10 to October 31 to avoid overlap with the Hindu festival of Sharadiya Durga Puja. The long march will commence at 7:00 AM on October 31 with a rally at the South Gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka before proceeding across the Padma Bridge through Naodoba, Madaripur, Bhanga, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Katakhali in Bagerhat, Rupsha Bridge, Khulna city, Phultala, Chachra in Jashore, and Jhenaidah, concluding with a grand rally at Kustia Zilla School ground around 9:00 PM. Parwar also expressed concern over recent national security incidents—including the arrest of former MP Major (Retd.) Akhtaruzzaman at Dhaka airport, an attack on NCP leader Naseeruddin Patwary in Kustia, and the assault on journalists at Rajshahi University—demanding swift legal action against those responsible.
