BNP Standing Committee member, former minister, and Dhaka-3 MP Gayeshwar Chandra Roy assured that party activists will act as vanguards to eliminate panic and ensure a peaceful, incident-free celebration of the upcoming Durga Puja.He made the statements as the chief guest during an exchange meeting with leaders of all temples and Puja mandaps under Savar Municipality, held on Friday evening at Panchabati Ashram in Namabazar, Savar.Speaking at the event organized by the Shahid Majnu Foundation, main speaker Dr. Dewan Md. Salahuddin Babu affirmed that Savar and Ashulia have a long-standing tradition of peaceful celebrations, and BNP activists will maintain security across every mandap to foil any attempt to incite chaos.Presiding over the program, Dhaka District BNP Joint General Secretary and mayoral candidate Lion Md. Khorshed Alam warned that anyone attempting to disrupt the festival will face stern consequences regardless of their identity.Special guests at the view-exchange included Savar Pourashava BNP Acting President Ibrahim Mia, former Jahangirnagar University VP Md. Ashraf Uddin Khan, Shahid Majnu Foundation Secretary General Nazmul Hasan Ovi, and Dhaka District North Chhatra Dal General Secretary Mahfuz Iqbal, among others.Cash donations were distributed to representatives of various Puja mandaps at the conclusion of the event.
