
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized its district Rokon Conference in Pirojpur on Friday (October 9). The event commenced at 10:00 AM at the Pirojpur Town School grounds under the auspices of the party's district unit.The conference was conducted in two sessions. The first session, managed by Advocate Muayazzam Hossain Helal, featured voting for the election of the District Ameer for the 2027–2028 session. A total of 672 male and female Rokons (pledged members) from across Pirojpur district cast their votes via secret ballot to elect their preferred candidate.The second session was presided over by Maulana Abdur Rob, acting Ameer of Pirojpur District Jamaat. Member of Parliament for Pirojpur-1 constituency Masud Sayedee delivered a speech as the special guest.Additionally, Professor Shah Alam, former Patuakhali District Ameer and member of the Barishal regional team, was present as a guest. The overall program was conducted by Jahirul Haq, Secretary of the District Jamaat unit.
