BNP Standing Committee member and former DACSU VP Amanullah Aman stated that under the leadership of Tarique Rahman, following the unyielding legacy of Begum Khaleda Zia, the country is moving forward, but defeated political forces are actively plotting conspiracies to halt this progress.
Presiding over a commemoration meeting organized by the Shaheed Jehad Smriti Parishad at the National Press Club on Saturday (October 10, 2026), Aman recalled the historical significance of the 1990 anti-autocracy movement. He emphasized that the martyrdom of student leader Nazir Uddin Jehad united 22 student organizations under the All-Party Student Action Council at Dhaka University, paving the way for the fall of the autocratic regime under Khaleda Zia's guidance. Aman asserted that the Zia family has consistently led the nation during every critical juncture, with Tarique Rahman successfully steering the movement that ousted the fascist regime. Highlighting current government initiatives, including family cards, agricultural support, and religious welfare projects, Aman warned that hidden allies of fascism are attempting covert plots as international recognition grows. He urged leaders and activists at all levels to remain organized and vigilant to defeat unconstitutional schemes.
