Everyone Must Work Shoulder to Shoulder for Overall Development and Progress: State Minister Mir Shahe Alam MP

State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, Mir Shahe Alam MP, urged everyone regardless of political affiliation to work shoulder to shoulder for the overall development and progress of Mithapukur. Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a multi-story academic building at Mithapukur Mahavidyalaya on Wednesday, he stressed that ensuring the prosperity of the area is a shared responsibility.

He further stated that political leaders, activists, and public representatives across all parties, including BNP and Jamaat, should set aside political differences and unite for local development, assuring his continuous support for Mithapukur's needs. Expressing the government's commitment to modernizing education, he announced that steps toward nationalizing Mithapukur Mahavidyalaya have been expedited, with a direct recommendation already sent to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Chaired by the acting principal of Mithapukur Mahavidyalaya, Golam Mostafa, the meeting was attended by special guests including local MP Assistant Professor Md. Golam Rabbani, Chairman of Rangpur Urban Development Authority and Convener of Rangpur City BNP Samsuzzaman Samu, Administrator of Rangpur City Corporation and Member Secretary of Rangpur City BNP Mahfuz Un Nabi Don, Administrator of Rangpur Zila Parishad and Convener of Rangpur District BNP Saiful Islam, Mithapukur Upazila BNP President Assistant Professor Golam Rabbani, and General Secretary Motaharul Islam Nixon Paikar, among others.

Following the discussion, the state minister officially unveiled the plaque to mark the foundation of the new multi-story building. Local dignitaries, teachers, and students expressed optimism that the new infrastructure will resolve classroom shortages and enhance the quality of education at the institution.
