**National Citizens Party (NCP) Senior Joint Member Secretary Sarjis Alam has stated that the student-public views the matter of Sheikh Hasina returning to the country in December as a mere rumor. He warned, "The fallen autocrat has been toppled through a mass uprising. The minor noises being heard now might persist for a few more days. However, if Sheikh Hasina truly thinks of returning, that very day will see the permanent burial of whatever remains of Awami League's politics."
He made these remarks on Saturday (October 31) afternoon while speaking to journalists after officially inaugurating the new Bengali daily newspaper "Panchagarh Khabor" at the Panchagarh Upazila Parishad auditorium.
Criticizing the BNP, Sarjis Alam said that the people of Bangladesh have witnessed how BNP has continuously lost popularity over the past eight months, while incidents of murders and rapes, unbridled price hikes of essential commodities, and the contraction of good governance have increased month by month.
