The Uttara residence of Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman GM Quader was attacked and vandalized by an unidentified crowd on Monday morning (October 12, 2026).

According to GM Quader, the incident occurred at around 10:30 AM when a group carrying banners and chanting political slogans marched outside his house in Sector 7, Uttara. Because the main entrance gates were locked, the miscreants were unable to breach the perimeter but proceeded to hurl bricks and heavy stones from the street. The barrage shattered multiple glass windowpanes, scattering debris across the drawing room where Quader was present.

GM Quader noted that the attackers hurled verbal slurs and political accusations during the assault before dispersing as local police officers arrived. Uttara West Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Khalid Mansur and Uttara Division Deputy Commissioner Rezaul Karim confirmed that law enforcement dispatched personnel immediately upon receiving news of the attack. While no injuries were sustained, police have cordoned off the area and are reviewing local security footage to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
