Following the dissolution of the expired committee of Dhaka Metropolitan North Jubo Dal, calculations over the organization's new leadership have begun. While discussions continue over whether the new committee will be partial or full-fledged, party sources indicate that the announcement could come at any time. Meanwhile, dedicated, tested, and active leaders are lobbying at various levels to secure key positions.

The previous committee was dissolved on September 30. Since then, political circles in the capital have been abuzz with speculation regarding who will take charge. Priority is reportedly being given to leaders who remained active on the streets during past anti-government movements, stood by the organization despite arrests and pressure, and possess strong organizational skills with grassroots connectivity.

For the post of President, top contenders under discussion include former Joint Conveners Aayub Ali and Mizanur Rahman Raj, alongside former Senior Joint Convener Monirul Islam Swapon.

For the post of General Secretary, key figures being considered include former Joint Conveners Md. Shimul Ahmed and Abul Hasan Titu, former Dhaka North Chhatra Dal President Mehedi Hasan Ruel, and former Titumir College General Secretary Aminul Islam Himel. Among them, long-tested leader Md. Shimul Ahmed is being widely discussed. Party insiders note that Shimul Ahmed has maintained strong ties with activists and remained active in organizational activities despite numerous adversities during the previous regime.

Central leaders of the party stated that those who stood by the organization during difficult times, actively participated in street movements, and hold a clean record free from extortion or controversy will be prioritized. As Dhaka Metropolitan North Jubo Dal plays a pivotal role in upcoming political programs, the central leadership aims to appoint leaders who are organizationally capable, experienced, and widely accepted by the grassroots.
