The Bangladesh national hockey team suffered another heavy defeat in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy, losing 5-0 to South Korea in their fourth match of the tournament.

South Korea maintained relentless pressure throughout the four quarters. They took an early 1-0 lead in the first quarter and doubled their advantage in the second quarter to go into halftime at 2-0. In the third quarter, South Korea struck twice more to extend their lead to 4-0 before adding a final goal in the fourth quarter to seal a comfortable 5-0 victory.

Bangladesh gained entry to the Champions Trophy after Pakistan and India declined to participate in Pakistan-based events, allowing Bangladesh to step in despite a 7th-place finish at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan. However, Bangladesh's Champions Trophy campaign has been marked by heavy losses: opening with a 13-0 loss to India, followed by a narrow 1-0 defeat to Japan, a 6-1 defeat to Malaysia, and now a 5-0 loss to South Korea. With four losses in four games, Bangladesh is out of contention for the top-four semifinals and will play their final group match against China tomorrow before entering the 5th-place classification playoff.
